Lymph Drainage Therapy

Healthy lymph flow is essential for good health.

The lymph system is part of both the circulatory system and the immune system. This means that it has seriously important double duty. Not only does it remove excess fluids and waste ~ it also fights infection (24/7, ie, right now in your body as you read these words).

If your lymph flow slows down due to injury, sickness, surgery, chemical exposure, or difficult emotions, fluids may get dammed up in the tissues, leaving toxins stranded in the body, unable to evacuate. You may feel tired, heavy, and mentally confused. You may notice that you are more susceptible to colds, flus, and allergies. You may notice that your immune system is very sad :(

Why not learn simple tricks to support positive flow and better health? For it’s true ~ lymph drainage therapy helps thousands of immune systems everyday, here on planet Earth.

It’s true! Lymph drainage can ease your pain and swelling, boost your immunity, promote deep relaxation, and support your general healing.

You may notice that lumps and bumps that have been there for years disappear. You may notice that you sleep more deeply and don’t get sick as much. You may notice you have increased clarity, energy and vitality.

About me

For the past 18 years, I have been amazed at how deeply healing and effective lymph drainage is. It relieves the pain and swelling of inflammation, it helps people truly relax, and it changes lives.

In my free time, I've been working on a lymph book that outlines simple, easy and affordable ways to care for your lymph system (and those of your friends, family and pets). In the book, I explain many different ways to care for your lymph system..  lymph drainage, hot/cold therapy, "golden golf ball therapy" for foot reflexology, dry brushing, bouncing around on a trampoline, submerging your body in water, swinging, prancing, stretching your skin.. the list goes on and on. Stay tuned for the publication date.

In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact me to schedule a free 20 minute consultation or a 30, 60, or 90 minute lymph drainage session.

Frequently asked questions

  • Sorry, I do not accept insurance at this time.

  • Sessions range from $65–$170, depending on length.

  • The first thing to know is that you are in for a treat ~ lymph drainage is very relaxing. When you arrive, we will go over your intake form and any questions you may have. I will then leave the room and you will undress to your comfort level and get under the sheets. Many lymph drainage sessions are done with the client laying on their back the entire time, as all the lymph in the body flows to the front. Sometimes though (and especially if you are feeling stressed that day), I like to begin with massage to your back and spine. The more relaxed your spine is, the better everything works and the better your lymph can flow. In this case, you will start by laying face down on the table.

  • It’s great to get in the habit of drinking more water than you usually do in the days leading up to a lymph drainage session. This work is great at releasing toxins and you want to be sufficiently hydrated for them all to flow out of your system. It’s best to come to your session with some food in your belly - not right after a huge meal, because that would be uncomfortbale. But a light meal or snack a couple hours before your session is a good idea.

  • If you have any of the following symptoms, lymph drainage is contraindicated.

    Chronic Heart disease.. etcetcetc

  • The frequency of your sessions really depends on what your body is going through.

For instance, if you just had surgery it’s great to have multiple sessions closer together to keep the rivers flowing and supporting your healing up. In this case, a session every 3 days (or even every 1-2 days) will be great.

If you are dealing with chronic issues, you can try a lymph flow session every week or two.

If you are looking to support your general well-being and immunity, you can book a session with each change of season to keep your motor running clean.

  • All in all, lymph drainage is a very mellow healing modality. You will feel comfortable, relaxed and like you can let go of the weight of the world.

The pressure used during lymph drainage is light because it focuses on moving lymph fluid in healing channels that run right beneath the skin. These superficial healing pathways making up about 60% of the lymphatic return to the heart. They respond best to very light pressure.

For the deeper healing pathways, the touch is still light, but slightly more engaged.
